We are delighted to announce that the Theresienwiese Playground has been selected for the Architektouren 2026.
The Architektouren, organized by the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, are among the most prestigious architecture events in Germany. Each year, outstanding projects are showcased for their design quality, innovative planning approaches and contribution to the public realm.
A Playground with a Distinctive Character
The Theresienwiese Playground is much more than a traditional playground. It was designed as a versatile space for movement, recreation and social interaction, combining play opportunities with high-quality public space design.
With its individually planned play and climbing structures, the playground offers a wide range of movement and play experiences for children of different ages. At the same time, it creates an attractive place for families and visitors to gather and spend time.
HUCK’s Contribution to the Project
HUCK contributed to the project with custom-designed net structures. These tailored solutions integrate seamlessly into the overall design concept and help create a play space with a strong identity and high play value.
Projects of this scale demonstrate the importance of close collaboration between clients, planners, landscape architects and contractors. Only through the combined expertise of all project partners can play spaces be created that inspire people and remain successful for years to come.
Recognition of a Collaborative Achievement
The inclusion of the project in the Architektouren 2026 is a special recognition for the entire project team. It acknowledges not only the design quality of the playground, but also the ambition to create public spaces with lasting social and recreational value.
We would like to thank all project partners for their trust and successful collaboration and are proud that this project will be presented to a wider audience as part of the Architektouren.
